Days 1–4 · CroatiaDubrovnik first — the wall-walk at opening time before the crowds, the old town’s marble lanes, a day out among the islands by boat — then up the coast to Split and the living Roman palace at its heart.

Days 5–8 · IcelandReykjavík, the Golden Circle’s rift valley and geysers, thundering waterfalls and black-sand coast, and a day on the ice: a glacier or lava-field crossing on the frozen edge of the map.

Days 9–12 · Northern IrelandThe Dark Hedges at dawn while they’re empty and glowing, the Causeway Coast, Ballintoy harbour and the sea caves — a wild, green, cinematic finish before Belfast and home.

TimingWhen to go

Two climates, one trip. Dubrovnik is glorious May–September; Iceland’s sweet spot for open roads and long light is June–August, while late September brings the first real chance of the northern lights over that frozen scenery. We aim for the shoulder edges — early June or September — to catch both without the peak crush, and we book Iceland early, because it sells out first.
